Why convert spreadsheets to PDF?
A PDF looks the same on every screen and printer. It's the safest way to send invoices, reports, price lists and timesheets to people who may not have Excel, and it stops figures from being edited by accident.
- Private by design
- Most online converters upload your file to their servers. This one reads it locally, so salaries, client lists and financials never leave your device.
- Whole workbooks at once
- Convert every sheet into a single PDF. Each sheet starts on a new page with its name as a heading.
- No more cut-off columns
- Fit to page width shrinks wide tables to one page across. Split across pages keeps text large and carries extra columns onto the next page.
- Values as you see them
- Formulas are shown as their calculated results, with dates, currency and percentages formatted the way they appear in Excel.
Supported file formats
The converter accepts modern and older Excel files, plus OpenDocument and plain CSV exports from Google Sheets, Numbers or any database.
| Format | Extension | Created by |
|---|---|---|
| Excel Workbook | .xlsx | Excel 2007 and later, Google Sheets, Numbers |
| Excel 97–2003 Workbook | .xls | Older versions of Excel |
| Excel Macro-Enabled Workbook | .xlsm | Excel (macros are ignored, never run) |
| OpenDocument Spreadsheet | .ods | LibreOffice Calc, OpenOffice |
| Comma-Separated Values | .csv | Any spreadsheet or database export |
Excel to PDF questions
Is this Excel to PDF converter free?
Yes. It's completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit.
Are my Excel files uploaded to a server?
No. The file is read and converted inside your browser using JavaScript, so your data never leaves your device. You can even disconnect from the internet once the page has loaded.
Which file formats can I convert to PDF?
XLSX, XLS, XLSM, ODS and CSV files are supported.
Can I convert a workbook with multiple sheets?
Yes. You can include every sheet in one PDF or select only the sheets you need. Each sheet starts on a new page.
How do I stop wide spreadsheets from being cut off?
Choose landscape orientation and Fit to page width. For very wide sheets, choose Split across pages so columns continue on the next page at a readable size.
Does it keep formulas and charts?
The PDF shows the calculated values of formulas exactly as they appear in Excel. Charts, images and cell colours aren't included; the output is a clean table of your data.
